Stonewashed Jeans – Dominate Like The 80s Did
Aug
The 80s totally ruled, as did Def Leppard and their fashion sense. Designing your own unique, personalized is a total breeze. Some friends of mine recently asked where I get my super authentic 80s style Def Leppard look. And while some would have you believe the Def Leppard look starts with ripped jeans, those of us truly in the know, know it is almost impossible to properly stonewash a pair of pre-ripped jeans, so we never rip them before stonewashing them! And you know, just buying stonewashed jeans from Macy’s is for the feeble willed. A true Def Leppard fan and connoisseur of the most rocking decade ever, the 1980s, should be able to wash his or her own stonewashed jeans. Don’t you agree? Or are you still holding on relentlessly to your Fedora from the beat generation days?
Stonewashing jeans is easier than you might imagine. For starters, just take any pair of boring old jeans and soak them in salt water for 2 days. I prefer salt water from the Dead Sea, as it contains the highest concentrate of sodium nitrates of any salt water on Earth, but I also take frequent trips to the middle East so this is no problem for me.

Stonewash Your Jeans
Jul
are the best. The way to make the basic blue jean is a closely-guarded secret. Cotton threads are dyed blue and woven together by supernatural flying animals that are half parakeet half leopard. Leopardkeets. Stonewashed jeans are regular jeans more mysterious counterpart. I believe that to make stone-washed jeans one must fill a large industrial washer with a combination of jeans and small stone-faced children. Once the dryer is turned on the children pound the jeans until they become soft and weathered.
OK… maybe not! I should do probably do some research. I like stonewashed jeans so very much, I have spent hours figuring out how it is done. First, you get some jeans. Jeans, for those that don’t know, are a type of pant made from denim. Denim is a rugged cotton twill textile, in which the weft passes under two or more warp threads. This weaving produces the familiar diagonal ribbing identifiable on the reverse of the fabric, which distinguishes denim from cotton duck. Jeans are often blue because denim itself is traditionally blue, but stonewashed jeans can be any color at all. Stonewashed jeans could be black or if you like showtunes and wine spritzers your jeans can be white.

Stonewashed Jeans
Jun
It has been over a decade since most of us last purchased a pair of jeans. I believe, sooner than later, Stonewashed jeans will become very popular again.
Why do I feel this way? I am beginning to see the cyclical redundancy in all things social. Has anyone been listening to Lady Gaga, or pop radio in general lately? Hello!
In the 80s it was all about ripped, distressed, stonewashed denim. Throw some bleach on a pair of Stonewashed Levis, tear ‘em to shreds, and throw a big time house party while the parents are outta town. Clearly the 80s are about to come back full scale as she continues her chart dominance and further solidifies her position as what one might argue is the most “fashion minded person in the world”! And while that perspective is certainly debatable, its reasonably logical nonetheless. Alas, I digress – back to repetitive trending and society.
